Service Opportunities

Mission Waco

Mondays and Tuesdays, 4:00 - 6:30 pm
Mission Waco offers a daily after-school program for youth in the downtown Waco area.  MEDS volunteers assist with the youth program classes, including cross-fit, theatre, engineering, and more!  We also have the chance to interact with the students over snacks and dinner.

Mission Waco Tutoring

Scheduled Individually
Mission Waco also offers in-person tutoring to students in the Waco area. MEDS Volunteers can tutor a variety of ages in subjects you feel most comfortable in.

Caritas

Tuesdays 9:50 - 11:10 am
Fridays 12:45 - 2:15 pm

Caritas is a non-profit organization that fights poverty and food insecurity in the greater Waco area. MEDS volunteers help with unloading food donations and distributing them to those who need it.

Bears for Education

Scheduled Individually
BFE partners Baylor students with middle and high school students in Waco ISD schools for tutoring and mentoring sessions. Weekly tutoring sessions can be done either in-person or remotely.

Bluebonnet Health Services

Scheduled Individually
Bluebonnet provides home health and hospice care for members of the Waco community. MEDS Volunteers can interact with residents by writing letters, beautifying their surroundings (hanging birdfeeders, performing yard work), or even having a window visit with them!

Jubilee Food Market Flyer Distribution
Saturdays 9:15 -11:15 am
The Jubilee Food Market (JFM) is a non-profit grocery store run by Mission Waco that fights insecurity by offering locally-grown produce and other groceries at low costs. Each Saturday morning, we travel in groups of 3-5 people to distribute sales flyers for JFM around the Waco community.
